V3 Update

We finished with an update, we were working on for the last few days.

There has been way too much improvements to write them all down, but to summarize, we’ve done some good things on visual improvement and lots of plugins have also been updated.

You may have noticed that our site is slower than it was before. This is due to too high spammers posting approx. 50000 posts and rapidly claiming on a daily basis. Therefore we decided that we’ll be doing an extensive clean up in the next few days. We won’t tolerate such activity on our site and because of that all sploggers and spammers will have their blogs removed and be banned from our service without any prior notice.

If you are using our service for blogging or journaling or using domain mapping and simply using our service in a normal manner (that is posting not more than 100 posts per day) you will be fine. If you’re having any kind of questions, please do write us using Support ticket in members area or use Contact form.

BlogRip.com Team

Limitation on Blog Registrations

Due to high load on our servers we needed to limit blog creation per user. Each user can own now up to 50 blogs.

There are members having few hundred blogs and this makes some serious load to our servers. However, there is no limit on how many accounts you may have per household/IP. The average blog registrations per user is 15, therefore we believe 50 blogs per user is more than enough.

BlogRip Server Upgrade

Hello dear users,

as you may have already noticed we are experiencing high traffic, therefore our team decided to upgrade our service to a much stronger dedicated server.

The other reason is also storage demand by our users for hosting their pictures and other media content. We decided to offer every and each of you four times more storage which should be more than enough for running a blog at BlogRip.com.

Our service will be offline for the next 48 – 72 hours. In that time you won’t be able to register any new blog or create any new posts. If you have any questions, you may ask us through our contact form.

Edit: We have finished with the server transfer, but the DNS effects can take up to 48 hours for everything to be fully operational.

**Edit: DNS has taken its place so you may start using our service again.
